Anne is a Certified Train the Trainer and is an expert on Adult Learning. She earns her students’ respect by using blended learning techniques to help them understand complex concepts. She also has one of the last classes in Austin that does hands-on projects, allowing her students not only to acquire critical job skills, but to practice and be confident in them before they graduate. She’s doing what she loves and her passion shows!
She helped implement the internship program at Austin Free Net with John Pence and Nancy Green. And she also advises her students to volunteer both at Austin Free Net and at the Goodwill Computer Works. This has allowed her students the opportunity to cover the gap left by unemployment, while practicing the skills they’ll need for their next job. And for them to engage in meaningful work while having fun! It’s important to their support as they make the transition to job training.
With more than 25 years’ experience in IT, Anne has a broad technical foundation, including PC repair and deskside support, server administration, network infrastructure design and implementation, routing and switching, as well as being a help desk Team Lead for a Fortune 1000 large volume call center. She holds numerous Microsoft and CompTIA certifications, attesting to her technical aptitude. With more than 30 years training experience, in 2008, Anne became a Certified Technical Trainer. The CTT+ is the industry’s ‘Train the Trainer’ certification. She not only trains students, she trains other trainers. Anne is the instructor who can both teach and do!
Anne is currently working on her MBA-IT and pursing ITIL Intermediate Certification.
